Analysts and correspondents all over the world are asking some important questions following the death of Osama bin Laden, and this one should be at the top of the list: What will Red Hook resident Cheryl Stewart do with her famous sign? Stewart, an artist who lives in a house on Coffey Street, put her "Where is Osama bin Laden?" sign up in her front yard in 2003, updating it every day since. It has become as much a neighborhood institution as ballfield tacos and Ikea, but now that we know where bin Laden is (the bottom of the ocean), is it bound for the scrap heap? The 9/11 Museum? The bottom of George W. Bush's birdcage? Above, the sign's hastily assembled new look.
