Hilfiger House Pops Up in MePa; Where a Condo Illustrator Shops

And now, the latest from Racked NY, covering shopping and retail from the sidewalks up.

1) MePa: If the 800-square-foot house above looks like an East Hampton beach house, that's because it's modeled after an East Hampton beach house. But it can be found starting Thursday at Little West 12th Street and Ninth Avenue's Gansevoort Plaza, where it will serve as a Tommy Hilfiger pop-up shop.

2) Gowanus: Not only did illustrator Oliver Jeffers do the logo for Dumbo's 192 Water Street, but he also chats with Racked about where he likes to shop. One of his faves: a Gowanus store selling old film props.

3) Nolita: For anyone who's walked past the Elizabeth Street wall of Rag & Bone in the past few days, Racked has the deets on the art from Nicolas Forker: it's a picture, entitled "Action Man," of an astronaut...sitting on a couch.
