Trumpiest Apartment in Town Asks $24 Million

New, 18 comments

OK, so Donald Trump's place is probably the Trumpiest apartment in town, but when it comes to people with no DNA relation to that fabulous helmet of hair, the honors have to go to this penthouse, right? For one, it's in a Trump building: the Trump International at Columbus Circle. And look at the carpet. And the many fine treasures. And the assortment of lamps. That's how we like to picture The Donald hunkering down late at night to pen such masterworks as Trump: Surviving at the Top, Trump: The Art of Survival and Trump: The Art of the Comeback: In the soft glow of lamplight, surrounded by booty, riding a tiger.

The 4,489-square-foot penthouse, with 4BRs and 6.5BAs, recently surfaced on the market with a $24 million asking price, currently the most expensive Trump International listing by far (though a penthouse recently sold for $30 million). So who owns it?

The trail runs a little cold, but our best guess is Elizabeth Ross Johnson, known to most as Libet Johnson, the unlucky-in-love Johnson & Johnson heiress and socialite. But we can't be certain, because while old reports peg her to a spread on the 48th floor, others say she no longer owns any units in the building after selling off her Trump International empire piece by piece. According to PropertyShark, neighbors on the 48th floor include Libet Johnson's brother, New York Jets owner Woody Johnson, so yeah, the whole thing is pretty confusing. Let's distract ourselves with the floorplan!

Yep, that's three walk-in closets in the master bedroom. This apartment is so Trumplicious, it takes two brokers to list it. Enjoy the sights.
