The people favored the Turkish cab, with its wheelchair accessibility, glass roof and made-in-Brooklyn stamp. The industry liked the Ford model, which has already seen action in Europe. But in the end, New York will get neither. The Daily News reports that the Nissan NV200 is the winner of the Taxi of Tomorrow competition, which aims to eventually replace yellow cabs with a more modern fleet. Mayor Bloomberg is expected to make the announcement today.
