Last night Rem Koolhaas kicked off the New Museum's Festival of Ideas for the New City with a keynote address, and today the mindmelting Dutch starchitect presided over the opening of a temporary Koolhaas/OMA exhibition called Cronocaos at 231 Bowery, the New Museum neighbor purchased by the NewMu in 2008. Cronocaos, we're guessing, is Latin for "Allow Rem Koolhaas to explain to you the history of civilization and how he has made it better." And yep, there were freebies!
