Gentrification Watch

Today the gentrification tracking team at the Journal pays a visit to Greenwood Heights, the Brooklyn neighborhood between Park Slope and Sunset Park. Condo and rental developments have been rapidly filling the 'hood, even sparking height restrictions in a 2005 rezoning, but the usual restaurant and retail amenities haven't been so quick to follow. "We still do most of our shopping in Park Slope," one resident admits, because Greenwood Heights does not yet have speciality cheese stores. [WSJ]
