Too bad about the forecast for this weekend, because it's once again time for FIGMENT, the annual Governors Island weekend of artistic wackiness, when a bunch of art installations and sculptures go up for visitors to, uh, visit. Also part of FIGMENT is the annual architectural pavilion contest, and we already knew that the winner this year is "Burble Bup." But the pavilion contest site once again gives a nod to the runners-up that won't be on display. Take a look at them in the gallery above. "Burble Bup" may have won, but "Root Ball Pavilion" should get the summer's prize for best scalies.
