Later this week painter Marc Chagall's sketchbook is going to be auctioned, expected to fetch anywhere between $600k and $900k. Well, another piece of Chagall memorabilia is also for sale, albeit for more money. His old apartment at 57 East 73rd Street just hit the market and it's asking $1,750,000. The two bedroom two bathroom townhouse unit also boasts two terraces for any aspiring artist to hone their craft. Given the Chagall-premium, this price doesn't seem out of this world for a well-heeled collector who wants something a little more pragmatic than a sketchbook.
