Is Eataly going to kill off Little Italy? That's what a lot of small business owners are fearing as they lose more and more business to Mario Batali's monolith further uptown. The president of the Little Italy Merchants Associaton says "Eataly is like Macy's, while Little Italy offers the "mom-and-pop shops of the past." Eataly is almost undeniably awesome, but it would be a shame to see Little Italy be starved of any economic wellbeing. [NYP]
