We love a story with a happy ending! Back last July, the penthouse at 1600 Broadway had a lis pendens filed against it, meaning the foreclosure process had begun on the midtown apartment. The seller had defaulted on a $1.995M mortgage for the apartment, which he bought for $2.9M. The apartment was listed for $2.5M but was "inviting all offers" due to his obvious need to unload the place... and someone came through! The penthouse just sold for $2,650,000 and an angel just got its wings for saving this seller's ass.
