Robert A.M. Stern Parties at 1280 Fifth; MTA Reacts to LPC

EAST HARLEM?1280 Fifth Avenue might not have the Museum for African Art just yet, but it'll always have Robert A.M. Stern. The starchitect partied with 200 brokers at the building last night (there's more proof on Facebook). Does that up the appeal, potential buyers? [CurbedWire Inbox]

GREENWICH VILLAGE?So how does the MTA plan to respond to the Landmarks Preservation Commission's unanimous disapproval of the MTA's fake townhouse proposal for Mulry Square? Says an MTA spokesperson: "While the current redesign of the vent plant was formulated with significant community input, we will await the Commission’s report to examine its design recommendations to determine if we can address any of their issues.” The LPC's role is advisory, so the MTA is obligated to do absolutely nothing whatsoever.
