The amenities and design at the Melody, a 63-unit co-op in the Bronx, are geared toward one thing: keeping residents from getting obese. How they plan to do this: exercise equipments in bright colors, actual windows in the gym, and jazz playing in the stairwell but not in the elevator. In case that's too subtle, the wall between the elevator and the staircase door also has a sign reading, "A person's health can be judged by which they take two of at a time, pills or stairs." But hey, no judgment! [NYT]
