Slumlord's Lower East Side Office Building Getting Nightlife Venue

95 Delancey Street has been puzzling us since 2009, when a tipster noticed that the storefronts in the building, also home to the offices of infamous slumlord Baruch Singer, were closing without new tenants coming in. "I smell imminent building demolition and replacement with a new high rise," speculated our tipster. Well, not exactly. The Post has an update on the site at long last, and what's coming there is a corner triplex with rooftop bar. The 9,000-square-foot space has been leased by the owners of multi-story Clinton Street bar the Delancey. Does the fact that there are no residents on either side?and the fact that the building's fate could have been so much worse?mean we'll avoid neighborhood noise wars with this one?
