New York Times Publisher Picks Up $4M UWS Penthouse

New, 3 comments

The Real Deal reported that Arthur "Pinch" Sulzberger Jr., the publisher and chairman of the New York Times just bought a Penthouse in the Dorilton at 171 West 71st Street that was asking $4.5M but was cut to $3.995M and closed for $3.9M.The three bedroom unit has a huge 2,000 square foot terrace where he can ponder his paywall, and there's a massive 25-foot skylight which actually looks pretty unique to us. So why the buy? Well, he was living in media gossip magnet Harperley Hall at 41 Central Park West but his now ex-wife took the $3.23M unit. Now all he needs to do is get rid of the velvet couch and those radiators and he'll be set.
