Architect's Newspaper scribe Alan G. Brake joins the fan club for Neil Denari's HL23 on the High Line, but he's not as starry-eyed over its starchitect-ed neighbors, panning their "fussy facades; Nouvel with layers and piles of windows and empty frames, and Gehry with folds and waves of metal." He's also not fond of the Della Valle Bernheimer "imitator" up the street at 245 Tenth, whose own metal panels look "dented and dirty." Sounds like a catfight of shattered glass and bent steel!
