The lofty two-bedroom condo at 205 East 59th Street owned by "Rangers thug" and ex-captain Darius Kasparaitis has sold for $2.095 million, after two price cuts on its original $2.595 million listing. Kasparaitis bought the bachelor pad in 2006 and chose the location, as his Douglas Elliman broker tells the Observer, "because it afforded him easy access" to the 59th Street Bridge, the Rangers' Westchester training facilities, Long Island airports, and Central Park, “where he liked to do his cardio.”
Unfortunately, 2007 didn't prove as profitable for the Lithuanian bruiser: plagued by injuries, he was traded to Hartford, finally putting the apartment on the market in June 2009.
Fun fact: the guest bedroom is painted periwinkle.
