The lofts at 149 Huron Street were asking lower prices than their Williamsburg brethren when they hit the market in 2008, but that didn't help much when it came to actually unloading units. Ten apartments sold and the rest went rental, for between $2,200/month and $3,000/month. Now it looks like the building might be ready to try condos again: all the previously unsold units have sold in an $8.625 million bulk deal, and we hear that tenants' leases are not being renewed. One tenant tells us, "got a letter two nights ago saying we have to be out by sept 1st if we're not buying." Second time's the charm?
