Bed-Stuy Sticks to Foie Gras Doughnuts; Final Look at Mars Bar

1.) Bed-Stuy: The rebels at Do or Dine will keep serving their gimmicky foie gras doughnuts, animal rights do-gooders be damned. Earlier this week The Modern alums running Bed-Stuy's foodiest bakery were flooded with emails and a petition 665 signatures strong.

2.) Governor's Island: Pig Island cookout fest extravaganza will return once again to Governor's Island this September 10. Expect appearances by local chefs including founder Jimmy Carbone of underground beer bar Jimmy's No. 43.
