Eleanor Friedberger, on a solo timeout from the band Fiery Furnaces, just released the music video for her song homage to Roosevelt Island. Much like visiting the island in real life, the tram is the most exciting part of the short film. Also, hi, it's Friday. Historical aside: as far as we (and Wikipedia!) know, the only other appearance by Roosevelt Island in musical pop culture is a brief appearance in Pink Floyd's 1973 Dark Side of the Moon video for "Us and Them."
