Before New Yorkers get the Nissan NYV200 taxi nobody wanted, they'll be getting the other taxi nobody really wanted, the Ford Transit Connect. The Ford was the least popular option in a city poll, but that hasn't stopped the city from bringing it in as an "interim cab" until the Nissans are ready in late 2013. The poll winner, a taxi by Turkish manufacturer Karsan, is the only cab to come out of the contest without making it to the streets at all. [NYT; previously]
