The NYU-to-private-school conversion begins: the university has flown its, ah, coop at 38-50 Cooper Square and handed over the building as is to Grace Church School, which will be renovating the space into a high school for a projected $25 million. GCS Head of Schools George Davison tells the Voice that the high school will retain $300,000 worth of the university's equipment (currently in storage in the basement of 36 Cooper Square, aka Curbed HQ).
