Office Space

A set of office buildings on Little West 12th that have been empty for a decade re-opened this week courtesy of WeWork, a new office leasing company billing itself as flexible and sustainable. The founders' first office reno at the Green Desk building at 155 Water Street in Dumbo is still trucking along, though the WeWork website now lists only its three Manhattan properties (plus one in San Francisco) as currently leasing. As is de rigeur for "creative" office spaces in 2011, the communal model features "glass walls separating each office, social events like biweekly happy hours, and shared spaces like a TV lounge."
