Zagat restaurant guide heir Edward "Ted" Zagat purchased this airy 3-bedroom Tribeca loft six years ago for $1.6 million, and just flipped it for a tidy $2.15 million, paving his way to Silicon Valley. Recently hired by Facebook for its Payments division (huh?), 36-year-old Zagat grew up on the Upper West Side and purchased his 1,700-square-foot Tribeca bachelor pad in 2005.
According to the broker, the apartment "was bid up over the $1.95 million ask, going to contract in 31 days and closing two weeks after that." Worth it, you may ask? It's a relatively huge apartment with 12.5" ceilings, 11 windows on three sides, in an Italianate building (also known as 65 Leonard) built in 1915.
