The Times takes a look at the kind of development people might not be used to seeing anymore- small growth on a community level. To be specific they talk about the changes in Gowanus after developers left the 'hood in the dust after the Superfund designation. They even go so far as to say that "longtime Brooklyn residents compare to Dumbo before the multimillion-dollar lofts and Williamsburg before Bedford Avenue became a destination." [NYT]
