Sam Chang just sold off 33 Beekman Street, the site where he planned to have his New York by Gehry-adjacent Gene Kaufman designed hotel. It sold for $15.7M after a lis pendens was filed on the place back in September. He bought it for $22M, so maybe Sam isn't as unstoppable as we thought. This one joins the Hyatt Union Square and the 126 Water Street Holiday Inn on the McSam scrap heap. [TRD]
