The Dumbo kingpins of Two Trees Management have been wanting to build a hotel at Wythe Avenue and North 11th Street for three years now. But it took an Emmitt Smith fumble up in Harlem for things to get rolling, because it gave the company government-backed financing originally earmarked for Smith's hotel.
