It's been rather quiet on the Palazzo Chupi front, perhaps because the building has been slowly losing its neon pink life force. Back in the heady days of '07, the director of the Greenwich Village Society for Historic Preservation insulted the Palazzo's stucco facade with an epithet of “hot pink,” that Julian Schnabel countered with a declaration of “Pompeii red.” Now we're seeing a "dusty Venetian rose," which begs the question: was pale pink Schnabel's masterplan all along?
