More Free Wi-Fi

New, 4 comments

Cablevision and Time Warner are bringing free Wi-Fi to 32 public parks throughout the course of the next two years. Unfortunately, there's no word on exactly which parks are going to be blessed with the internets, however the Times speculates that "the list is likely to include at least parts of Central Park and Prospect Park in Brooklyn." Allegedly the wireless will be free for three 10-minute periods every month, and 99 cents for each 24-hour period after that. We could get down with that. [NYT]
