And by boldfaced we don't mean ConEd. The latest development on the Brooklyn Bridge Park development is the Observer's news from the frontline of the city's informational meeting yesterday, meant to update interested developers on the RFP for two new buildings housing a hotel and condos. To rattle off a few, we've got Related, Hines, Rockrose, Starwood Capital, Artimus, Two Trees, The Dermot Company, and Douglaston on the developer side; Andre Balazs representing white teeth and sexy hotels; and TEN Arquitectos, FXFOWLE, Rogers Marvel, and Arqitectonica for the architects.
As the pink paper points out, this whole mess of developers includes some established party lines:
Based on past history, some obvious teams seems to be emerging. Two Trees worked with TEN on Mercedes House, and this won’t be their first hospitality venture—the Walentas are building a hotel in Williamsburg with architect Morris Adjmi. Architectonica has plenty of hospitality experience, building the Westin for Starwood and Related’s MiMa, home of the robotic Yotel. Dermot has worked with both Rogers Marvel and FXFowle.
Dream team guesses in the comments, please!
