The $1 million-and-up market in Brooklyn came out of the second quarter doing surprisingly well, according to new stats from PropertyShark. There were a total of 223 sales?123 of them condos?in the price range, up 60 percent from the second quarter of 2010. That makes this year the best sales year, in terms of volume, since the pre-Lehman days of 2008. Of course, there are a couple of caveats: many of those sales went into contract much earlier in the year, and the pace is unlikely to continue. Interestingly, the majority of the sales occurred in Williamsburg, with Park Slope in second place. [Crain's]
