The Times is at it again, profiling incredible local real estate bought for a song: this go-round it's a Gothic Revival clapboard house in Bay Ridge, built in the 1840s for a prominent member of Tammany Hall. The 95th Street house, whose wood siding was preserved by its original lead paint, was saved by preservationists after the previous owner died in 2007. The current owner bought it for $700,000. [NYT]
