Building developers are battening the hatches in preparation for the Category 2, possibly Category 3, hurricane Irene expected to make landfall in New York City this Sunday. Contractors at the World Trade Center site were ordered to "tie down loose debris, cover electrical equipment, store tools secure netting, and are preparing to use pumps and sandbags to control flooding."
