Azure 4BR Sells in a Day, At a Discount; Where's DoBro's Coffee?

New, 7 comments

UPPER EAST SIDE?Closings began almost a year ago at Azure, the East 91st Street tower that was the site of a tragic crane accident in 2008. Building reps would like to call our attention to one particular recent sale: the 4BR, 4.5BA #18CD, which sold for $3,232,943 after "approximately one day" on the market. The original ask was $3.75 million, and the discount of 13.8 percent looks well in line with other units in the building. [CurbedWire Inbox]

DOWNTOWN BROOKLYN?We've spilled many pixels discussing the amenities at The Brooklyner, Brooklyn's tallest building: gym, residents' lounge, concierge service, dog shower, Skee-Ball machines, and free coffee in the lobby. Or not! A tipster passes along this memo from building management:

It is with great regret that I bring this to your attention! Due to the soaring cost of coffee and the additional expenses required to maintaining this service, management has decided to remove the coffee machine in the lobby as of September 4th, 2011. Therefore, the last day of coffee service will be September 3rd, 2011. My sincere apology for any inconvenience this may have caused. The woes of Brooklyn gentrification, folks. [CurbedWire Inbox]
