Architect's Subway-Inspired West Village Duplex Sells for $1.9M

New, 6 comments

Architect Adam Kushner took subway tiles and doors and used them to decorate his 79 Barrow Street penthouse, a duplex two-studio combo that hit the market in September. Transporchitecture at its finest! And its most expensive: the place was asking $2.065 million. The Observer reports that the apartment has finally sold for $1.9 million. Not a bad price for a West Village duplex?one with a pebbled meditation pool/hot tub/shower?even if it is perhaps lacking in privacy.
