New York Housing Court will see another famous face this week as "The Rent is Too Damn High" gubernatorial candidate Jimmy McMillan fights an eviction notice from the landlord of his rent-controlled apartment in the East Village. McMillan claims to pay only $872.96 a month for his ground floor St. Marks one-bedroom, which he moved into in 1977. The building management at Lisco Holdings argues he's violated the lease since his primary residence is in Flatbush, Brooklyn. [The Real Deal]
