Add another few tallies to the loss column following the World Trade Center collapse in 2001: letters by Helen Keller, 40,000 photo negatives of John F. Kennedy, Rodin and Calder sculptures, and historical relics from the Five Points. The New York State Archives is working with the WTC Documentation Project to take a retroactive inventory of the archival items lost in the attacks, made even more difficult since most inventories—including the CIA and Cantor Fitzgerald's—were destroyed along with the records.
