Motorino Chef Opening on Bowery But Still Counts 'Burg as Home

New, 4 comments

It's been a big year for chef (and celeb lookalike) Mathieu Palombino: his beloved Williamsburg pizza joint Motorino all but fell over, he's rebounding with a new diner on the Bowery, and in personal real estate gains, bought a condo for $1,025,000 at The Gretsch. The 2-bedroom, 2.5-bath loft offers bridge, city and river views with a chef's kitchen (literally) and 12-foot ceilings. Fittingly, the listing spends several sentences describing 60 Broadway's proximity to Williamsburg restaurants (Marlow & Sons, Diner, Dressler, et al).

He'll be joining Gretsch neighbor Scott Solish, current Assistant VP at NYCEDC and nightlife editor for sister site Eater NY—maybe they can walk (not curb!) their dogs together?
