The vacant lot on the corner of East 79th and 3rd is now sporting a crane, a construction fence, and a whole bunch of construction guys milling around it. Although the original plans for the site—made way back in 2009—had a limit of 21 floors, a tipster informs us that owner Orin Wilf has purchased air rights from the adjacent building, and permits hint that the project will now climb up to 29 stories. We don’t know much else yet, but the building will feature 19 dwelling units, so smart money says that at least some of those are going to be large.
