Memo From the Mystery Lot

A few responses from tipsters to our plea for information on the mystery activity at the East Village Mystery Lot. Writes a commenter: "i lived directly across from this lot for 5 years. this same thing happened once every year at the end of the summer like clock work. i still walk past it every day and won't believe anything is really happening until the blue plywood is up and the work permits posted." And the architect for the neighboring Kiehl's space writes in that the work has nothing to do with Kiehl's. So we're back to square one, but the tipline's still open. [CurbedWire Inbox]
