Marc Jacobs is finally make the switch from rent to own, moving out of his $15,000/month penthouse at the Chelsea Mercantile and into the Neo-Georgian Superior Ink townhouse #2 that he bought in 2009. A source tells The Cut that the multi-tasking designer moved into his new Robert A.M. Stern architect-ed home a few days before New York Fashion Week. UPDATE: We hear on pretty good authority that Jacobs was last paying $20K in monthly rent, so you're only (only!) looking at a $36,000 annual increase.
Meanwhile, intrepid renters can rent Jacobs' old unit #PHR for $8K more per month (fashion pedigree carries a pricetag, dahling); Corcoran is listing the 3-bedroom, 3-bath perch at $23,000/month.
