The New York City Housing Authority needs cash, and what better way to get cash than selling ads?on the sides of Housing Authority buildings. The wrinkle that's making residents of those buildings (and assorted media studies experts) particularly anxious: officials are open to selling ads for alcohol or fast food. The Housing Authority says "residents will be consulted throughout the process," but it doesn't sound like they would have the final say if/when the proposal gets off the ground. [NYDN]
