Tribeca Punk Club-Turned-Lofts Has Wide Open Space, Asking $2.4M

New, 6 comments

The Mudd Club was a seminal spot in the late 1970's New York punk scene, with acts like the Talking Heads and Blondie being frequent performers. Well, fast forward a couple of decades and Tribeca is more well known for it's pricey lofts rather than punk. The fourth floor of the building which housed the Mudd Club, 77 White Street, is on the market asking $2,399,000 for its open loft space. The listing says "this magnificent loft is currently set up as a sprawling one bedroom but has the space, windows and potential for two or possibly three. Two master baths wing the bedroom, one with shower – one with tub, each with its own walk in closet." We're not sure the whole three bedroom thing would work out, given the floorplan but a raw loft space in Tribeca with the old details this place is pretty rare. Any punk history buffs want to check this place out?
