One item on the docket at today's Landmarks Preservation Committee meeting is a proposal by Hilton to alter the landmarked Waldorf Astoria with the addition of a marquee on the historic Art Deco façade. DNAInfo got a sneak peek of architect BBG-BBGM's design for three "smaller glass canopies" to replace the single marquee now covering the three entry doors on Park Avenue, a move intended to "focus attention on the landmarked building’s Indiana Limestone" frontage.
