Things that don't go well together: Upper East Side residents and the Spence School, which spent $27.5 million on an East 90th Street townhouse in 2008 with plans to build a two-story glass atrium connecting it to the school's East 91st Street building. The neighbors have some objections to the zoning-busting atrium proposal, and they have one more chance to air those concerns next week, when the plan goes before the Board of Standards and Appeals. They would prefer a one-story structure connecting the buildings, and they've even had their own architect draw up a plan. Helpful! [Crain's; previously]
