Speaking of Friends, remember Jennifer Aniston's epic housing hunt earlier this year? Aniston ended up with a couple of units at 299 West 12th Street, but along the way she eyed PHCD at 2 Horatio Street, a 4BR, 4BA pad that was asking $14.95 million after a renovation inspired by a hotel in Capri (aren't they all?). That wasn't quite to Aniston's taste, but the jilted penthouse didn't linger long on the market?the deed has hit public record, and the place just traded hands for $12.5 million. The buyer is one Marissa Sackler, who we're speculating might be part of the Sackler family of major museum donors.
UPDATE: Broker Melanie Lazenby tells us the $4,237 per square foot sale price of the apartment the second highest price per square foot ever paid for a Greenwich Village co-op. Guess Jennifer Aniston just wasn't interested in making real estate statistical history!
