Barclays Center Steel Fabricator Reopens Doors

The Barclays Center will be dressed in her steel-clad dress in time for coming out party later this year. Construction on the Prospect Heights arena hiccuped last week, after specialized fabricator ASI Limited shut its doors and went out of business in late December. ASI was tasked with making the specialized steel panels that enclose the facade and the canopy of the Barclays Center, but was shuttered itself with only 57% of the panels in place. Doors to the company's facility?including a custom made 2,500 foot conveyor system to weather the panels?were reopened in a joint effort by the Hunt Construction Group and insurance company Ohio Farmers, according to Crain's.
