Here now, an update on plans for the potential conversion of the Brooklyn Heights Cinema, in limbo since owner Norman Adie was arrested for a Ponzi scheme: the Community Board 2 Land Use Committee is reviewing a plan to demolish the theater and put up a five-story residential building on the site. (The cinema itself may relocate.) Speaking of Brooklyn conversions, the former police precinct building at 72 Poplar Street is also in the process of going residential, with no word yet on the design. Hear anything? Send it our way.
