In a trend piece on buildings that used to house the masses in nursing homes or SROs now being converted to luxury condos, the Times drops a few tidbits on 607 Hudson Street. The former Village Nursing Home is soon to become The Abingdon, and it will have 10 units of 3,200 to 9,600 square feet. The Times also reminds us that the conversion of 18 Gramercy South, the Salvation Army's Parkside Evangeline building, is still underway, with plans for 17 4,500+-square-foot condos. [NYT]
