The planned $6 million Randalls Island Connector, a pedestrian/bike bridge between the South Bronx and Randalls Island, is in jeopardy because the city's Economic Development Corp. hasn't struck a deal for the easement it needs with landowner Harlem River Yards Ventures. The land in question is already part of a DOT rail yard, but HRYV has a 99-year lease on the land. That lease was signed in 1991, so if all else fails, we can revisit the issue in 2090.
