The "Largest Loft on the Market on the UWS" Sold Post-Chop

Despite being a rearward-facing unit on the third floor, this dramatic apartment in the Pythian has sold for over $4M, less than two months after it was chopped by almost $1M. Spanning 3,180 square feet, the place was called "the largest loft on the market in the Upper West Side" in the brokerbabble, and, frankly, it looks a lot more like the lobby of a trendy hotel than a comfortable family home. Sixteen-foot ceilings and this much space in something that's ostensibly a pre-war are hard to come by in the neighborhood and the four bedrooms are all quite spacious, though two are interior loft bedrooms that can't possibly see much natural light. Still, we've always had a thing for that private bridge joining the bedrooms.
